Snakes are scary and detested by many even though they often look majestic and beautiful. One snake has obviously helped their argument for being the most beautiful creatures.
Known scientifically as Atheris, they belong to a family of vipers popularly known as bush vipers. These venomous beauties are found only in sub-Saharan African countries like Kenya, Congo and Uganda. They are rarely seen though because live very far from human settlements.
They spend most of their time high up in trees where they hunt and eat preys including rodents and birds.
One can only be glad that they live far from humans because they are extremely venomous and because they are rarely found, it has been impossible to find antivenom.
These beauties can be found in a wide range of colours and hues and a few have been captured on camera.
